The Bac de Barcarin is a boat that travels on the Rhône River and transports cars from one bank to the other on the Port-Saint-Louis-du-Rhône and Salin-de-Giraud side. We do not have a bridge at Salin-de-Giraud. The price of the crossing is 6€ for a car and 10€ for a camper or van. You can find the exact timetable on their website.

When you come from Montpellier, head towards Arles or the Etang de Vaccarès if you want to stroll and enjoy the scenery. Then follow the direction of Salin-de-Giraud/Piémanson beach.

If you are coming from Marseille, you can take the Bac de Barcarin to go faster or you can go through the town of Arles to bypass the Rhone river. 

The nearest railway station is in Arles, 39 kilometres away. There are no other stations. If you come by train, you can then take the bus n°A10 to Salin-de-Giraud (nearest stop at the station). You get off at the Bar des Sports stop which is not far from our guesthouse, 180 metres or 1 minute walk, so it should be fine 😉

The airports are in Montpellier (95 kilometres) and Marseille (60 kilometres).

The nearest motorway is at Arles (35 kilometres), you will have to take the departmental road to get to us.

We are fortunate to have the Via Rhôna (cycle path along the Rhone river) near our guesthouse.
